During a low-tide stroll with his daughters, the owner of Cali Paddler and little his mermaids came across an abalone. But rather than take it as a treasure, the oldest daughter wanted to hide it deep in the rocks so it would "someday be a home to another animal". This selfless gesture, to forego a trophy shell let to the inspiration of these pants. As iconic as any shell on a California beach, but rare (due to over-collection and harvesting), the abalone pants symbolize that beauty. And with an added abalone shell anklet on one leg, you can also now paddle with jewelry. :)
